I've spent years following the game, studying the fixtures and looking for the selections that stand out to me. Over time, I've developed my own way of doing things, and that's the approach I use when putting the tips together.
I keep things simple. I don't want to throw dozens of selections at you or make things unnecessarily complicated. My job is to do the research, narrow things down and give you the selections I'm happy to put forward.

I could always find a reason to have a bet.
A team was in form.
Another had a good home record.
Someone had scored in six of their last seven.
The odds looked about right.
There was always something. And with enough digging, you could make almost any fixture sound like a good idea.
So I'd end up with a list of bets that looked convincing individually...
...but I had no real idea which ones deserved to make the cut.
That's when I realised I wasn't struggling to find bets.
I was struggling to filter them.
I was placing a bunch of different bet types rather than focusing on the ones that were actually paying out.
And that led me to a question I couldn't quite leave alone.
Not:
"Who do I think is going to win?"
And definitely not:
"What can I find that gives me a reason to have a bet?"
It was much simpler.
"What makes one Double worth taking over another?"
That question sounds obvious. It wasn't.
Because once I started looking at the results properly, I realised I'd been judging Doubles almost entirely by the teams involved. I hadn't been paying enough attention to how the two selections worked together.
So I went back through the records. Then I went back again.
I started comparing the things I'd been tracking - the leagues, the odds, the days, the combinations and, most importantly, what actually happened afterwards.
And that's when I started noticing something.
There were certain characteristics that kept appearing in the Doubles that performed well.
Not every time. Not perfectly. But often enough to make me stop and take notice.
That was the beginning of the process I use today.
At first, I thought I needed more information. More stats. More filters. More ways to analyse a fixture.
It turned out I needed the opposite.
I started stripping things back and asking four simple questions:
If it doesn't pass the checks, it doesn't make the Double.
No complicated formula. No crystal ball.
Just a simple process for filtering hundreds of possibilities down to the two selections I'm genuinely happy to put my name to.
And the more I tested it, the more I realised:
I didn't need to predict every match.
I needed to get better at deciding which matches were worth taking.
The more results I recorded, the less interested I became in trying to find the "perfect" bet - and the more confident I became in the process of finding the right pair of selections to put on a slip.
Eventually, I had something I could repeat.
Something I could test.
And, more importantly, something I could actually send to someone else.

I'm going through the fixtures.
Checking the numbers.
Comparing teams.
Looking at the odds.
Going down rabbit holes I probably didn't need to go down.
Then coming back out of them and asking the important question:
"Is this actually good enough to make the Double?"
Because there are plenty of teams I could pick.
There are plenty of fixtures that look interesting.
And there are certainly enough stats online to keep you busy until Christmas.
But interesting doesn't mean worth backing.
That's where the filtering comes in.
I narrow everything down, test the selections against the process, and work out which two I'm actually happy to put my name to.
So when the Double lands in your inbox and the dashboard, it might be a simple process that takes you minutes to follow.
That's because you're getting the end result of all the work that happened before you ever saw it.
Finding a team to back isn't particularly difficult.
Enough to keep you occupied until the next World Cup.
The difficult bit is deciding what actually deserves your attention.
That's where I spend most of my time.
Because plenty of selections look good at first glance.
It's what happens when you start pulling them apart that matters.
And then, eventually, I'm left with the ones I'm genuinely happy with.
Those are the two that make the Double.
Not because I need to send something. Because they've made it through the filter.
And there's a big difference between the two.
There's something quite satisfying about watching that list get smaller.
And eventually, you're left looking at the two that have genuinely earned their place.
That's the bit I enjoy.
The strongest teams rise to the top.
And after doing this for long enough, those final selections started to show a pattern.
That's what turned this from me having a few football opinions...
...into an actual method.
So that's exactly what I did.
It's taken years of work to get this together.
Now it's finally paying off.
Seeing what happened when the teams actually went onto the pitch.
And this is where the hard work pays off.
Because one result doesn't tell you much.
But keep doing it.
Month after month.
Hundreds (480+) of Doubles later...

So here's where we're at.
A month-by-month look at the profit.
Month by month, the results are mostly green.
There's been a lot of iterations of what eventually became doubles.bet.
The devils in the detail and if you get one detail wrong, it compounds.
Change one ingredient, and you can completely change the dish.
The method I'm sharing today was one of many that stood the test of time.
I started tracking it properly to flat stakes in August 2025...
That month we went on to bank +43.86 points.
September: +48.70.
Then October decided to show off with +78.61 - the best month of the lot.
And then came November.
It's the only losing month in the record, too.
But that's exactly why it's staying on the chart.
I'm not hiding it. I know what went wrong and I fixed it immediately.
After that, it was back into positive territory month after month.
And across 483 Doubles from August 2025 to October 2026, the total came to:
Not a perfect straight line.
Not every month was brilliant.
But it did result in 46 points profit a month on average.
And that's the part that really matters.
We're not winning every Double.
Far from it.
The historical record shows a 53.8% win rate across 483 Doubles.
But here's the important bit: the winners have historically come at average odds of 4.31.
So we don't need to get every selection right.
We need the winners to pay enough when they do land.
And over this stretch of results, they have.
53.8% wins. 4.31 average winning odds and a good amount of profit to show for it.
After all those spreadsheets, charts and slightly unhealthy amounts of football data, I thought the numbers deserved something a bit more glamorous.
